Discover some of the world’s most scenic waters and prestigious wildlife viewing with this fishing package in Homer, Alaska. Experience great fishing at an affordable rate. Climb aboard a 50-foot vessel with top-of-the-line equipment and tackle to fish in the halibut capital of the world. See sea otters, porpoises, dolphins, whales, and a variety of birds, like the bald eagle and puffins in their natural habitat. All the necessary equipment is included.

Meet the guides and crew at the Homer Boat Docks no later than 5:30am. The boat departs from the dock promptly at 6am. After the captain and crew have been introduced, get settled on the boat and set sail.

During the boat ride to the fishing spots, take the opportunity to view Alaska's wildlife, such as whales, dolphins, unique birds, seals, sea otters, and many more in the natural environment. This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to relax and really see what Alaska has to offer for scenery and wildlife viewings. By all means, bring a camera.

While approaching the fishing destination, the captain and deckhand will go over how to safely use the equipment and where to put the reel during breaks. Also, learn how to hook fish and how to bring them on board. 'Fish On' is the most common phrase on board for when a fish hits the deck.

The captain and deckhand are responsible for ensuring passenger/boat safety at all times. They will assist in equipment handling, baiting hooks, bringing fish on board, cleaning and filleting fish, and additional passenger needs as the trip continues.
Continue this process until limits are reached or until it's time to head back to the docks. Please be advised that no charter company can predict the number of fish that can be caught. Though this is impossible to predict, rest assured that the instructions are coming from the best captains and knowledgable deckhands available.

Upon returning, take the opportunity to watch how the deckhand filets everyone's fish and see how this process is handled. There will also be another opportunity to see Alaska's beautiful scenery and exotic wild life. After docking, guests will gather their things and the captain and deckhand will do another briefing to help assist with the processing of the fish.

Observe wild Alaskan bears in their natural habitat on this 6-hour day trip from Homer. Depart by bush plane and fly over volcanoes and glaciers en route to viewing locations in either Katmai or Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. You'll spend several hours on the ground while your pilot/guide narrates the behavior of coastal brown (aka grizzly) bears.

Board a bush plane at Homer Alaska Airport for a small-group trip to Katmai National Park and Preserve or Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, both of which offer unparalleled bear-viewing opportunities. The exact location will change throughout the season as Alaska's coastal brown bears follow their food source, which moves from sedge meadows and clamming in the spring to chasing wild salmon later in the summer.

Fly over glaciers and the lava flows of former volcanic eruptions en route to your destination and listen to on-board narration from your pilot-guide about Alaska's otherworldly landscape. Upon landing, prepare to hike up to 3 miles (4.8 km) over uneven, soft, or muddy terrain to designated lookout platforms that offer close-up views of grizzlies roaming and hunting for food in their natural environs — sightings guaranteed.

You'll spend a minimum of 3 hours on the ground in this wild bear habitat and learn from your guide about safe viewing practices along the way. Then hop back aboard your aircraft for the return flight to your starting point.

Please note: fish products and bear spray of any kind are prohibited on this tour.
