This is a fully guided small group hike to see the highlights of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and various sights along the way.
This tour is a full-day Volcano Adventure via Mercedes Benz Luxury Van with a local guide. Leave your Kona or Waikoloa resort or hotel in style in our new high-ceiling Mercedes Benz luxury van. Your local guide will entertain you with information about the current, past and history of Hawaii as you climb initially to the height of 2000m or 6500 feet. First we'll make a brief
restroom stop at Mauna Kea County Park, located approximately halfway up Mauna Loa (4169m) and Mauna Kea (4205m). From there, we'll head down the famous Saddle Road into Hilo for a brief tour of the historical town and a stop at the famous Rainbow Falls, a beautiful tropical waterfall, then on the top rated Big Island Candies cookie factory for cookie and Kona Coffee samples, restroom breaks, and other snacks.
After this break, you'll head up to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park - a World Heritage Site and an International Biosecurity Zone. Your guide will lead you on numerous stops in the park including a short hike through a tropical Ohia forest, through a Lava tube, through stops at craters and lava fields, where you'll learn about various lava formations and flows. You will then go to one of our famous local volcano restaurants, where you will enjoy a relaxing dinner. Finally, we make a last short hike to Halema'uma'u crater summit, to see the glow of the broiling lava in Kilauea's summit eruption. This is the premiere deluxe tour available on this island.
