Get out and enjoy a day of guided fishing on the local waters of Sitka, Alaska.

There are three rivers in Sitka that have productive fishing for both salmon and Arctic char. The tour guide will provide all the necessary equipment, with waders and fishing gear for the trip at the local fly shop. Then travel by passenger vehicle to the access points on the rivers. The guide will provide information about what is running and lead the way to the best places to fish based on run timing, tides, and the weather.

On this trip, explore more than one location and fish for more than one species. The local rivers have Chinook, Silver, Chum, and Pink salmon, as well as Steelhead, Rainbow, and Cutthroat trout, plus Dolly Varden char and Arctic grayling. From the shoreline and the estuaries, target Rockfish, Greenling, and Flounder.

The rivers in Sitka are not big, but they are fun to fish and easy to access. In the early season, fish Steelhead and Char in the lower rivers and estuaries. Then in July, as the salmon start to run, move up the rivers.

For a relaxing day of fly fishing, this trip is hard to beat. Its easy to access the water, the wading is easy, and there are a variety of picturesque scenes to fish in.

Cascade Creek Inn & Charters offers 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 full day fishing and lodging packages from May 1st - Sept. 15th. Customized fishing packages and 1 day charters with no lodging are also available. Guests will be picked up at the airport and taken to the lodge where they can relax for the evening before their first day out fishing on the ocean. A hot breakfast with freshly brewed coffee will be served on the morning of every fishing day. After breakfast, guests are transported to the fishing boats where their captain and deckhand are awaiting fully prepared for an epic fishing adventure. Lunch will be prepared deli-style while on board. At the end of the fishing day, guests will be picked up and transported back to the lodge where they can unwind while a home-cooked dinner is prepared. Guests enjoy the newly renovated lobby, bar, and dining area when they book one our fishing packages.

Cascade Creek Inn & Charters offers 2, 3, 4, and 5 full day fishing and lodging packages from May 1st - Sept. 15th. Customized fishing packages and day charters with no lodging are also available. The captains are year-round Sitka residents who grew up fishing and exploring the Sitka, Alaska waters. They are enthusiastic, patient, and eager to share their love of fishing with guests. The crew will bait your hooks, and help bring your catch on board after you have landed the big one. Whether you consider yourself a professional or amateur fisherman, the Cascade crew will be available to provide any help or guidance you may need. Captains have their U.S.C.G. Merchant Mariner Credential Master Captain's license.

The fleet consists of two 30 foot aluminum sportfishers with enclosed cabins, a private bathroom, and a walk-around deck. The first is a brand new, custom built Alaska Skiff, LLC out of Sitka in 2016. The second is a newly customized 2004 ALMAR walkaround sportfisher. Each vessel is equipped with advanced electronics for navigation, communication, and fish finding.

Fishing is unique in Sitka because it is a feeding ground for bright, healthy, ocean running salmon. Light tackle adds to the challenge and the thrill of the catch. Other types of fish we catch regularly include halibut, lingcod, and rockfish.
