Experience the beauty of Napa Valley with all five senses on a guided bike tour visiting local wineries. Get out from behind the windshield, slow down and experience wine country from a whole new perspective - by bike! On the Full-Day Tour, you'll join a small group (limited to just 8 guests), hosted by a knowledgeable, local tour guide who will enhance your education of the vine-to-bottle process. Guided groups ride at a relaxed pace, averaging just 3 to 6 miles of pedaling between stops at local wineries and tasting rooms. The full-day tour includes three wine-tasting stops (tasting fees not included) and a delicious picnic lunch that is served at a winery overlooking the vineyards.

Tour meets at our shop located in Yountville at 9:30 a.m. You will be greeted by your Tour Guide who will assist you with your bike fit and operation. Following a pre-ride orientation, tour groups generally depart close to 10:00 a.m.

You'll ride between 3 to 6 miles to the first wine tasting; Tour Guides typically punctuate any longer biking legs with a pause to enjoy the scenery, take photos and give some background about the vineyard growth cycle or local history, to the degree the group is interested in learning about these topics.

At each of the wine tasting visits, your tour guide will introduce you to your Tasting Room Host who will lead you through a tasting flight of wines and discuss any of the wine-making philosophies and practices that are unique to that winery. Tastings generally last about an hour at each winery.

After your first tasting, the group will get back on the bikes for another 3 to 6 mile biking leg before arriving at a second winery for a tasting followed by a delicious picnic lunch. Expect a selection of artisan sandwiches, green salad, fresh fruit and assorted nibbles.

After lunch, we'll pedal another 3-6 miles to the third and final wine-tasting stop, which often (though not always) features one of our favorite tasting rooms in the town of Yountville. The tasting rooms we visit not only have great wines, but also offer our guests a personally hosted seated tasting experience – making it a relaxing way to finish the day.

After your final tasting, it's a short ride back to conclude the bike shop where any wine or retail purchases you made throughout the day will be waiting for you. The Full-Day Tour typically concludes close to 4:00 p.m.

Note: Please note that all of our bicycling routes in Napa Valley include significant stretches along Hwy. 29 and/or Silverado Trail. These are the two main thoroughfares in Napa Valley carrying 50+mph traffic. Both roadways have a 4-8 foot wide bike lane or shoulder. All participants must be comfortable riding in a bike lane next to traffic lane.

Enjoy an afternoon in the heart of Napa Valley walking from one famous chef's restaurant to the next, sampling farm-to-table specialties paired with local, special wines. Be ready to spoil yourself with world-renown menu items from a high concentration of powerful kitchens.

Beginning at Bistro Jeanty, you'll enjoy their famous soup and seasonal salad, paired with a Sauvignon Blanc you won't soon forget. We will then move to Hurley's to enjoy Crab Cakes with a Sonoma Gewurztraminer, you’ll then head across the street to V Market to explore an enticing pathway where the smell of chocolate will lead us to our next partner, Kollar Chocolates for a demonstration. No trip to V Market would be complete without visiting Michael Chiarello's, Bottega for his Nonna's homemade gnocci with bread and a parmesan-garlic butter.  We then cut to the head of the line at Bouchon Bakery for fresh baked goodies and do a little historic walk to the French Laundry for a peek inside the kitchen, landing in their world-famous gardens to perch for our final varietal paired with our Kollar Chocolates.

With this luxury food tour experience under your belt, you can watch the food channel with even more gusto, remembering back on the day you were in their restaurants. Your gourmet guide will provide expert commentary along the way, including fun information about the wine, films and extensive knowledge around the food.
